Sunday 26th September, I spent a great dinner at Chateau Sainte Barbe with Antoine Touton and five Americans wine bloggers. It was a wonderful time tasting wine and speaking with them.
Fredric Koeppel, writer in Biggerthanyourhead blog, who came 13 years ago in Bordeaux, really appreciates the simplicity and the atmosphere of his first diner. Corie Borwn, Nannette Eaton, Richard Auffrey and Fred Minnick were for their first time in Bordeaux.
For this special evening, the weather was sunny and warm so we had our aperitifs on Chateaux’s terrace, drinking Chateau la Levrette 2007 white wine and Chateau la Levrette Clairet 2009.
Then we enjoyed tasting a magnum of Chateau Sainte Barbe 2005, La Combe des Dames 2008, Chateau Sainte Barbe 2007, Chateau la Levrette 2007. And at the end, Antoine Touton opened for them a Chateau Sainte Barbe 2009.
It was really a wonderful time meeting, speaking and tasting with Corie, Nannette, Frederic, Fred and Richard.
